Detox water is basically water with fruits, veggies or herbs added into it.
What’s the point?
Water gets infused with flavors and nutrients from the fruits and herbs, so not only does it taste better, it’s also more beneficial to drink than just plain water.
I’m a huge fan of detox water. I always have it in my fridge. Now that I think about it, I rarely even drink plain water anymore.
The reason I became so into detox water is because I FINALLY don’t bloat anymore!
I eat healthy, I exercise and move quite a lot and still, I had problems with bloating. Well, thanks to detox water, I’ve finally stopped bloating! So, if you have problems with bloating, you should definitely start sipping on detox water.
*Oh, and another thing, detox water can feel like a delicious snack, so that’s a great way to avoid actual snacking when you’re trying to lose weight or maybe fighting binge eating.

Grapefruit + Thyme
If you don’t like grapefruit, like me, give this a try. Thyme really changes the way grapefruit tastes.
Add to water
- chopped up grapefruit
- fresh thyme branches or leaves
Both, grapefruit and thyme are rich in antioxidants and provide many other nutrients, but the best of all, thyme is a great mood booster! That’s why this one is first on the list, it’s my monday detox water.
Watermelon + Lemon Balm
Is there anyone who doesn’t like watermelon? Probably not.

- fresh lemon balm leaves
Watermelon not only brings many nutrients, but it makes this detox water feel like a treat! Lemon balm is my favorite herb. It helps you concentrate while at the same time relaxing you. It’s awesome!
Cucumber + Green Lime
There’s a reason why every spa has cucumber water. And if you have ever placed cucumber slices on your face, you know all about that cucumber power.
Here’s what you need
Cucumber is great for vitamin E which keeps you youthful, lime is high in antioxidants.
Any detox water is gonna clear your skin, but if you want some extra glow, definitely try this one.
I also think this is the best detox water to carry around with you because it’s so refreshing!
Strawberries + Basil
Another one that feels like a treat!
What you add to water
- strawberries ( a lot of them, they should dominate)
- fresh basil leaves
Great combination that bring very rich flavor. Strawberries are rich in vitamin C and basil has anti inflammatory properties.
Lemon + Ginger
Pretty strong one that will wake you up and help you feel refreshed.
What goes in
- lemon slices
- ginger slices (if ginger is too strong for you, add only small amount)
Anti inflammatory combo where lemon will alkalize the body and ginger will aid digestion.
Pineapple + Orange
Another yummy combo full of vitamins!
Add to water
- slices of pineapple
- slices of orange
Pineapple will help flush out excess water from the body. It’s awesome for debloating! Orange will level out blood sugar. This detox water will make fatigue disappear.
Apple + Cinnamon
If you love that apple – cinnamon combination, you will love this one.

- chopped up apple
- cinnamon sticks or powder
Cinnamon is one of the most powerful tools to detox the body! This is your sunday detox water because I bet on sundays you eat whatever you like (I’m guilty of that too), so you need this one with cinnamon to counteract all of that junk food.
Carry Detox Water In A Water Bottle
I definitely recommend that you carry detox water with you everywhere. It’s great to refresh with, and it will stop you from drinking junk such as sodas and energy drinks. It will also suppress sugar cravings.
